About GeoTag Photos Online

Most photo geotagging tools ask you to install a desktop app or upload your image to a server before you can add a location to it. Neither felt necessary for what is, underneath, a small metadata edit. GeoTag Photos Online was built to do the same job entirely in the browser: drop a photo, pin a location on a map, and download the result, without the file ever leaving your device.

The tool reads a photo's existing EXIF metadata using exifr, lets you place or edit GPS coordinates on a Leaflet map, and writes the result back into the file with piexifjs. Everything, reading, editing, writing, and exporting, runs as JavaScript on your own device.
